Manufacturer of GRP/FRP of Enclosures and Kiosks in UAE

What is the standard?

Our glass reinforced polyester laminate, which is the primary material across our product range, is type tested to be fire retardant adhering to the British Standard 476:Part 7. The standard is classified as the method of test to determine the classification of the surface spread of flame of products.

How is it tested?

Part 7 of this standard specifies a method of test for measuring the lateral spread of flame along the surface of a specimen of a product orientated in the vertical position under opposed flow conditions, and a classification system based on the rate and extent of the spread of flame. It provides data suitable for comparing the end-use performances of essentially flat materials, composites or assemblies, which are used primarily as the exposed surfaces of walls or ceilings.

Where is it tested?

Our laminate is type tested at the renowned international testing laboratory Exova Warrington to certify our products. BS 476 is the British Standard produced by BSI Group and is the common standard adhered to in the GCC region, United Kingdom and Europe. The BSI Group produces British Standards under the authority of the Royal Charter in the United Kingdom, which states that one of BSI’s objectives is to create standards of quality for goods and services.
